BAP Image Systems GmbH (BAPis) is a dependable and reliable imaging products and solution provider, with proven industry experience. BAPis develops and manufactures cameras based on high-speed linear and array sensors, suitable to scan documents up to 1000dpi. Additionally BAPis develops and produces image processing boards based on the DSP and FPGA with own algorithms. The camera together with image processing can reach the highest throughput on the market momentarily. Additionally BAPis provides enrollment systems with biometrics for ID/Smart card and passport production.

The K2_HS converter translates input images, BMP, JPEG, TIFF, PNG, GIF, CR2 to JPEG, and JPEG 2000 with custom compression ratio or bitonal TIFF with G4 compression. The converter box API allows also, to cover the output JPEG 2000 stream with the DICOM frame. K2_HS is a standalone device connected to the host via USB2.0 interface (up to 21 MB/s).
