Our mission is to provide industry and science with excellent products and solutions for high-speed capturing and processing of color and grayscale image data. Or in other words: to give the world a picture of things.
Johannes Boerboom, BAPIS CEO
At BAPIS we offer our customers from industry and research application-optimized solutions and expert consulting in the fields of imaging and digital control: We develop, design, manufacture and optimize hardware, software and firmware that makes our customers’ products and applications precise, reliable, efficient and future-proof.
In order to add an HD imprinter function to our customized OEM device in the future, new inkjet printheads were to be integrated, future-proofed by new hardware and HD support, as flexible as possible for all platforms. That's why we commissioned BAPIS to develop hardware and firmware that can drive two high-resolution printheads at a paper speed of up to 2.1 m/s, and can be adapted precisely to the existing environment. The solution developed by BAPIS exceeded our expectations. Not only could the solution be integrated into our overall system in just a few steps, but despite the time pressure, it was elaborated in such a way that it can be flexibly expanded at any time. On the one hand, this makes it future-proof. On the other hand, it can now also be used as a standalone solution.
InoTec is a leading developer and producer of high-performance scanners. For our two highest throughput scanner series, we needed a highly optimized 2D barcode decoder with high read rate and error tolerance as part of a project-driven function expansion. The BAPIS imaging experts immediately recognized the requirements and possible obstacles and in a very short time developed a custom-fit and highly functional solution which could be easily integrated into the existing systems. In addition to their high level of imaging expertise and development speed, what we particularly appreciate about BAPIS and its engineers are their partnership-based cooperation and their consistently uncomplicated and solution-oriented communication.
BUSERDI, based in Mexico City, has a high-tech infrastructure for the digitization of over 2,000,000 plans, books and other documents per day, including special mobile photomatrix scanners. When these disappeared from the market and key replacement components were no longer available, we asked BAPIS to develop more powerful replacement components. These were to increase the throughput of the scanners, raise the scan quality to the FADGI 3 Star GOLDEN THREAD standard and enable additional functionality, including automatic feeding from the stack. In close cooperation with BUSERDI, BAPIS developed the desired replacements for the end-of-life components, with which we can now provide our scanning services with even more quality and efficiency.
For many years Exela Technologies has been the world's leading supplier of check and page processing machines. When we were in the development phase of our newest generation open track high-speedscanning system, we required image processing components capable of capturing full page images in color and bitonal at over 600 pages per minute. To achieve this, we commissioned BAPIS. Their specialists developed a flexible, modular system that allowed us to bring specialized features to the market quickly. The technology included a CCD camera, image processing boards with customized algorithms and the appropriate interfaces. Working closely with BAPIS we achieved our objective of delivering a superior quality high speed scanning solution. Today the full product range of Exela’s IntelliScan systems uses BAPIS imaging technology to address a wide variety of markets.
